MARILYN MONROE

Seedling of longipes Urajiro Hachijo from J. Hawes and Peter and Jean Ruh 2005. Sibling to Candy Dish and Smokey. Heart shaped leaves are 7 inches by 5 inches, pale greyish green, frilly pie crust edges which recurve, revealing an intense white backing hense the name Marilyn Monroe. Leaves also smooth with the occasional puckering in older plants; petiole green with red dotting, good substance.  Flowers are a very beautiful shade of lavender almost hinting a mix of blue, showing up in September after most hostas have finished flowering.
