CRESTED SURF

Selfed seedling of Neat Splash from H. and D. Benedict. Dense mound of heavily rippled, white margined foliage, leaves 6 inches long by 2 1/2 inches wide with an 1/8th inch wide margin that changes from yellow to creamy white. Leaf centre gold early, medium green by mid-summer. Mediuim purple flowers in August, many reddish pods form. As a juvenile plant, Crested Surf offers a dense mound of multi-coloured foliage with neatly rippled petioles. At maturity, the leaves broaden and the rippling is less prominent.
