LEMON SNAP

This fast growing hosta comes up vivid yellow in spring time with amazingly bright red petioles. According to Bob Solberg this was his next generation of yellow hostas with red petioles in 2018. The leaves are cupped upward to accentuate the red as it saturates the midrib sometimes to near the middle of the leaf. The cupping was a new leaf shape for this line of breeding with some puckers thrown in here or there. Later in summer the color tones down to an apple green but still very bright and eye catching.  In mid-summer a very dark purple scape emerges with pretty purple striped flowers in a tight mass. A great breeder too.
