THESE ARE THE SOLID BLUE-GREEN REVERSIONS OUT OF THE STREAKY SIR RICHARD.
LARGE PLANTS WITH MULTI SHOOTS, SET SEED WELL

If you own any streaky hostas you will know that many of them have solid colored shoots coming up every year that if you do not remove can take over the entire plant in a few years. Well Sir Richard, a beautiful blue-green hosta with lots of yellow and cream streaks in the leaves sends up many solid blue-green shoots every year. I have removed them over the years, but have accumulated a row of large blue-green hostas with leaves that are slightly rippled, slightly wavy with some corrugation and glaucous bloom. Leaves are fairly blue in the spring, turning to green in the summer. Lavender flowers in mid-July that set seed readily. Some plants still have the odd streak showing up so it's fair game to say a few of the seedlings could come up with streaks in them. Even as solid colored plants, these are very attractive and fast growing.
