Streaked form of Hosta Inspire Greatness from Bill Silvers, 2007. This hosta forms a medium sized mound with leaves that are blue-green with creamy yellow streaks. Pale lavender flowers in early summer. Hosta Inspire Greatness was named to honor the special olympics. As with any streaky hosta, you will get solid blue shoots coming up each year. Make sure you remove the solid shoots or they will eventually take over the plant. Having said this, Brave Attempt has the least solid shoots coming up yearly. This is by far our best streaky hosta. The seeds are fertile so if you want to dabble with hybridizing, this is a good hosta to use as the pod parent (mother). It gives lots of streaky seedlings.
