
Species hosta native to Oshima Island, Japan. Medium sized mound, leaves 9 1/2 inches x 7 1/2 inches wide, ovate shaped with many slight marginal ripples; smooth texture, good substance, intense white bloom on leaf underside. Leaf petioles and flower scapes are heavily speckled with reddish purple. Medium lavender flowers open on 31 inch long recumbent scapes (almost horizontal) from mid August into September, beautiful white bracts subtend the flowers, forms many seed pods. Very important breeding plant that passes on traits such as the recumbent scapes, white floral bracts, intense white bloom on the leaf underside, and good marginal rippling.
