Sea Fire sport from B. Solberg, 1995. Leaf blade 7"x 4",oval, emerges satiny, sharp acid-yellow from red shoots that turn green, narrowly and irregularly margined greenish cream initially then turning pure white with streaks jetting toward the midrib, matt above and glaucous below, corrugated, prominently veined, convex when mature, good substance. Pale lavender flowers open in late July. Very intense color in spring.
